The DD problem is logistics, not sourcing
In a dry dock, thirty small items from six makers can cost more in freight and documentation than the parts themselves — and one missing item holds the ship beyond the dock. The value of a China-based sourcing partner is consolidation: one enquiry, one quotation table with real production dates, one shipment, one document set.
We split a DD list into three buckets before quoting: ex-stock (ships within days), made to order (production time stated honestly), and yard-service items better repaired or fitted in China rather than shipped. That separation is what makes a DD plan hold.
AOG: the item that decides the schedule
For unexpected requirements — a failed pump, a cracked valve, a sensor that stops a system — the route is different: identify fast, confirm availability, air freight to the next port. Keep the vessel’s next three ports and the superintendent’s contact in the enquiry and we can route the part to whichever call is realistic.

Frequently asked questions
Can you quote a whole DD list at once?
Yes — that is the normal workflow. Send the list as a spreadsheet; we return it with maker, availability, price, lead time and document path on the same rows, split into ex-stock, made-to-order and yard-service.
Do you ship to the yard or to the owner’s forwarder?
Either. Most DD packages go to the yard’s receiving address, but we can ship to a forwarder or consolidate with other suppliers when the owner prefers one inbound shipment.
What about items needed after the ship leaves the dock?
Those become AOG cases — air freight to the next port. Send the following three ports in the original enquiry so the routing decision is already made.
